Glaze Photo started with curiosity and a simple appreciation for beauty in built spaces. Rooms, light, the way a building holds itself together.
It grew naturally out of Piece of Cake Studio, and a decade spent in art direction across advertising, fashion, and culture. Somewhere along the way, that eye turned toward interiors and architecture, and found its own flavour: quieter, more patient, less about performance and more about paying attention.
We start by looking at how light actually moves through a room, before we think about how to photograph it. Every space has a moment when it looks most like itself. We work across real estate, architecture, and interiors, but the approach stays the same.
Glaze Photo is based in Amsterdam.
Every space has a moment when it looks most like itself. We arrive early enough to watch for it, and we don’t recreate it with extra lights.
Sometimes that means waiting. Sometimes it means adding a small thing, a plant, a bowl, a cleared surface that helps a space read the way it actually feels.
The same instinct that shaped a decade of advertising and fashion work now looks at kitchens, facades, and staircases. The subject changed. The way of looking didn’t.
Glaze started from noticing things, light on water, the shine on a glazed surface. That’s still the instinct behind every shoot: look first, then decide.
A good image holds up whether someone’s scrolling it or standing in front of it, deciding if this is the place. We shoot for both.
You know what this space means and what it needs to say. We bring the care and the eye to say it properly.
